I’m Darsen, a volunteer kid’s worship leader at Reimage Church in Winterville, NC.  I write music specifically geared for children ages 3 to 10.

Every Sunday morning I volunteer at my church, leading the 3, 4, and 5 year old kids.  This is such a rewarding experience.  About a year ago, parents started asking me to make a CD to play in their car.  So, we launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for the project.  Click here to see the fundraising page.

 

With the help of the campaign supporters and my local church body, we released my first solo kid’s album.  David Pridgen was a huge contributor to the album and his arrangements transformed my very simple music.

I’m passionate about worship music and teaching children through music.  I find that children have the ability to learn and sing much more complex music than they are traditionally exposed to. The kids in my 3, 4, and 5 year old classes know the days of creation, the books of the Bible, and the fruit of the Spirit.  Not only that, these children know how to worship God.  Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ Matt 19:14.  So, I not only do my best not to ‘hinder’ them, I encourage them to spend time with Jesus…worshiping Him”
